Working with a Job Coach

A Job Coach is an individual who is employed by Jobology 101 to help people with disabilities learn, accommodate, and perform their work duties. A job coach may work with individuals one-on-one or with individuals in a group.

Your assigned Job Coach will visit your place of employment prior to your start date to understand the requirements of your job and to assess the work environment. Your Job Coach will then help you prepare for the first day of employment and may accompany you to the work site for the first few days of employment. You will benefit from the immediate feedback and training assistance from your Job Coach.

For employers, the use of a Job Coach eases the transition of your new employee. By helping to support employees with disabilities, job coaches free up personnel time that would otherwise be needed for training and improves the experience for the employer, the employer's staff, and the new employee.
